Experience Cairns Beaches Australia
Here you find more than 20 kilometres along some of the most beautiful coastline. There are seven little townships along this coast: starting with Machans Beach, Holloways Beach, Yorkey's Knob, Trinity Beach, Kewarra Beach, Clifton Beach and Palm Cove plus Ellis Beach with its campground and restaurant. Each of them has its individual charm.
As Cairns city doesn't have its own beach many locals love to come here to spend their free time at Cairns (Northern) Beaches. During the stinger season (October-April) there are stinger resistant enclosures that make swimming safe. If you are in the mood for a barbeque you'll find a free-to-use electrical barbeque area at Cairns Beaches everywhere.
Have you ever wondered how crocodiles attack? Always wanted to cuddle a koala? How about touching a snake?
About 20km north of Cairns next to Palm Cove is Wild World the tropical zoo, where you see all the native animals. But before you pass Skyrail, a rainforest cableway, with which you can glide 8km silently over beautiful rainforest up to Kuranda.
